Thursday Night Football Prediction

I’ll be away until Sunday, so I’ll finish the division previews then. In the meantime, I won’t have internet access so I have to make my Thursday Night Football prediction here. Patriots-Steelers is certainly an intriguing game, especially with the recent Tom Brady news. But it would have been a much more interesting game to preview had it been in Pittsburgh; now that it’s in New England, and now that Le’veon Bell, Maurkice Pouncey, and Martavis Bryant are out for the Steelers, it’s hard to see the Steelers winning this game. You know Brady’s going to have a chip on his shoulder, and that’s always worked out well for the QB. I expect a Pats team in midseason form going into this game and trying to win by as many points as possible. The Big Ben-Antonio Brown connection is still going to be effective, but I don’t think much else will be for Pittsburgh in this game. It’s not often that I pick a touchdown favorite to cover in week one, but I have to do it for Brady and the Pats here.

Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots:
Spread: Patriots favored by 7
Over/under: 52
My prediction: Patriots win 31-17
Patriots cover
Under
