Now reviewing my week 6 picks

*= upset pick
LOTW= lock of the week

Oakland Raiders (1-3) at Atlanta Falcons (5-0):- LOTW
Line: Falcons favored by 9.5 points
Over/under: 48.5
My prediction: Falcons- 31, Raiders- 17
Falcons cover

Results: Falcons- 23, Raiders- 20.. This game was really close. I almost blew another LOTW, but Matt Bryant and the Falcons bailed me out. I correctly picked the winner, incorrectly picked the line, correct picked the over/under

Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) at Cleveland Browns (0-5)*:
Line: Bengals favored by 2.5 points
Over/under: 42.5
My prediction: Browns- 23, Bengals- 20
Browns cover

Results: Browns- 34, Bengals- 24.. The Browns offense looked decent, even though star rookie running back Trent Richardson went down with an injury. Correct upset pick here. I correct picked the winner, the line and the over/under

St. Louis Rams (3-2) at Miami Dolphins (2-3):
Line: Dolphins favored by 4.5 points
Over/under: 37.5
My prediction: Dolphins- 17, Rams- 14
Rams cover

Results: Dolphins- 17, Rams- 14.. High fives to all! I nailed this one, which is I think the first time this season that happened. I (obviously) got all three right on this one.

Indianapolis Colts (2-2) at New York Jets (2-3)*:
Line: Jets favored by 3.5 points
Over/under: 44.5
My prediction: Colts- 23, Jets- 20
Colts cover

Results: Jets- 35, Colts- 9.. I totally blew this one, because the Jets were great on defense, and running back Shonn Greene had the best game of his career. I got the winner and line wrong, and the over/under correct.

Detroit Lions (1-3) at Philadelphia Eagles (3-2):
Line: Eagles favored by 3.5 points
Over/under: 47.5
My prediction: Eagles- 24, Lions- 17
Eagles cover

Results: Lions- 26, Eagles- 23 in OT.. Another one I blew. It was looking good, until there was about 5 minutes left in the game, which is when the Lions offense picked it up, got the game into overtime and won it. 0/3 on this one.

Kansas City Chiefs (1-4) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-3):
Line: Buccaneers favored by 4 points
Over/under: 40.5
My prediction: Buccaneers- 27, Chiefs- 17
Buccaneers cover

Results: Buccaneers- 38, Chiefs- 10.. In a battle of two poor teams, the Bucs blew out the Cassel-less Chiefs. I went 3/3 on this one.

Dallas Cowboys (2-2) at Baltimore Ravens (4-1)*:
Line: Ravens favored by 3 points
Over/under: 44.5
My prediction: Cowboys- 26, Ravens- 20
Cowboys cover

Results: Ravens- 31, Cowboys- 29.. I got everything right here.. Except the winner of the game. The Cowboys could have- and should have, won this game. I got 2/3 on this one.

Buffalo Bills (2-3) at Arizona Cardinals (4-1)*:
Line: Cardinals favored by 4 points
Over/under: 44
My prediction: Bills- 23, Cardinals- 17
Bills cover

Results: Bills- 19, Cardinals- 16.. The Cardinals offense looks awful. The Bills weren’t good in this game, but they were just good enough to give the Cards their 2nd straight loss (expect more losses for the Cardinals). I went 3/3 on this one

New England Patriots (3-2) at Seattle Seahawks (3-2):
Line: Patriots favored by 4 points
Over/under: 44
My prediction: Patriots- 21, Seahawks- 20
Seahawks cover

Results: Seahawks- 24, Patriots- 23.. I got 1/3 on this one, but I was really close to getting 3/3, so I’m okay with that. The Hawks came back and won, giving Russell Wilson his second fourth quarter comeback against an elite team (remember the infamous Monday Night game against the Packers).

New York Giants (3-2) at San Francisco 49ers (4-1):
Line: 49ers favored by 6.5 points
Over/under: 46
My prediction: 49ers- 26, Giants- 21
Giants cover

Results: Giants- 26, 49ers- 3.. Boy was this surprising. I was expecting the Giants to keep it close, but certainly not blow out the (in my mind) superior 49ers. I incorrect picked the winner and the over/under, and correctly picked the line.

Minnesota Vikings (4-1) at Washington Redskins (2-3):
Line: Redskins favored by 2 points
Over/under: 48
My prediction: Vikings- 24, Redskins- 16
Vikings cover

Results: Redskins- 38, Vikings- 26.. Wow. The Redskins and RG3 were dynamite in this game, while the Vikings weren’t. I went 0/3 on this one.

Green Bay Packers (2-3) at Houston Texans (5-0)*:
Line: Texans favored by 3.5 points
Over/under: 47.5
My prediction: Packers- 27, Texans- 24
Packers cover

Results: Packers- 42, Texans- 24.. Another shocker. The Packers really got their offense on track in this one, and just humiliated the Texans. I went 3/3 on this one

Denver Broncos (3-2) at San Diego Chargers (3-2):
Line: EVEN
Over/under: 48.5
My prediction: Chargers- 30, Broncos- 23
Chargers cover

Results: Broncos- 35, Chargers- 24.. Through the first 3 quarters, it looked like I nailed this one. Then Phillip Rivers and the Chargers fell apart. I ended up only getting the over/under correct.

6-8 on pick.. 48-43 total
8-6 on spread… 47-44 total
9-5 on over/under… 47-44 total

Upset picks:
Browns over Bengals- CORRECT
Colts over Jets- INCORRECT
Cowboys over Ravens- INCORRECT
Bills over Cardinals- CORRECT
Packers over Texans- CORRECT

9-12 total

Lock of the week:
Falcons over Raiders- CORRECT

Now 5-1 on the lock of the week.

Now for the fantasy portion:

QB Of The week: Aaron Rodgers, Packers: Rodgers had an amazing game, going 24/37 for 338 yards and 6 (yes, 6!) touchdowns.
Surprise QB of the week: Robert Griffin III, Redskins: I don’t know if anybody thought RG3 would do as well as he did the week after suffering a concussion. Griffin’s passing stats weren’t all that flashy- 17/22 for 182 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He really helped his team, both in real life and in fantasy, with his rushing stats. He rushed just 13 times for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Disappointing QB of the week: Matt Ryan, Falcons: Matt Ryan was the top fantasy quarterback going into last week, and it looked like he would continue that against a poor Raiders defense. Surprisingly, it didn’t. Ryan passed for 245 yards, but had just 1 touchdown with 3 interceptions.

RB of the week: Shonn Greene, Jets: Where did this come from! In the previous 5 games, he had 76 carries for 226 yards and a touchdown. This week, he had 32 carries for 161 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Surprise RB of the week: See Green, Shonn
Disappointing RB of the week: Rashard Mendenhall, Steelers: When Mendenhall came back from a torn ACL with a tremendous game against the Eagles, we thought he was back. Then he played the Titans, a bad run defense. He ended up with a tremendous… 6 yards.

WR of the week: Jordy Nelson, Packers: Nelson broke out in a big way this week, with 9 catches for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Surprise WR of the week: Mike Williams, Buccaneers: The #2 wide receivers on the Bucs had a monster game, with 110 yards and a score.
Disappointing WR of the week: Antonio Brown, Steelers: The Steelers version of Wes Welker, Brown had a disappointing game, with just 20 yards receiving. Look for him to bounce back.

TE of the week: Antonio Gates, Chargers: Gates had his first good game of the season. He caught 6 passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns.
Surprise TE of the week: Tom Crabtree, Packers: Crabtree is supposed to be a third string TE for the Packers. He is also considered a blocking TE. So somebody tell me why he had 60 yards receiving and a touchdown!

Shady McCoy should also get a shout out for disappointing RB of the week.
